Erectile Dysfunction

Sexual problems may develop in men at any age that may be secondary to a single or combination of factors. In evaluating patients, we attempt to identify these factors which when corrected may improve the patient’s quality of erection and subsequently their quality of life.

Causative factors may include: medications, hormonal or vascular changes, structural abnormalities or psychological influences. Specific treatment is then made available to each patient that may consist of: hormonal replacement therapy, oral medications (Viagra, Levitra, Cialis), direct penile medication (MUSE or penile injections), vacuum erection devices, surgical placement of penile implants, sexual counseling, or a combination of more than one treatment option. Benefits and risk of each of these therapies is extensively reviewed with each patient.
